Sustainable Schools Awards
School Sustainability Awards is an initiative of Sustainable Schools Network and Gecko Environment Council. The awards were initiated to encourage the students to take a closer look at sustainability, and specifically sustainability at their school.
It is their intention to support schools to become more sustainable and to learn in action-orientated and authentic ways. In the 21st century, it is essential that students and school communities are engaged as responsible citizens and are given opportunities to collaborate, express creativity and to think critically.
The Awards is an annual initiative and a highlight for both the curriculum, the school year and the sustainability calendar of our city.
Regen Australia is a proud sponsor for the Secondary School category this year and we would like to congratulate Currumbin Community Special School on winning the first Gold Coast Sustainable School Award!
